Here’s the top 10 finishers for the AL MVP. The actual AL MVP was as big a no-brainer as you can get outside of the NL MVP this year, so we’re not looking at that (or the rogue Miguel Cabrera vote).

The Gold Gloves are all officially announced now, here they are in comparison with the Fielding Bible Awards. The Fielding Bible picks from all of MLB and picks one for each outfield position as they are different and should be quantified as such.

The Hank Aaron Award is the youngest award MLB hands out, and while not totally useless it could be done a bit better. It’s meant to go to the “most outstanding offensive player” in each league–whatever that means exactly. I would have no problem with an award that is given to the top homerun hitter [...]
